Historic group of 98 photographs by zangaki, sebah and arnoux, with views of Abou Simbel, the Sphinx, the pyramids, tombs of the Mamelukes and the Citadel, the Temples of Luxor, Medinet Abou, Seti I, and Karnak, Mummy of Seti I and Ramses II, picturesque views of native people, street shops in Cairo, Shadoufs on the Nile, Cataract Island, objects in the Gizeh Museum, and, of course, camels. Albumen prints, 8 1/4x10 1/4 inches 21x26), and the reverse, most are mounted recto/verso, many with the photographer's credit in the negative and a handwritten caption on mount recto. 1860s-1870s
