Native Son was not only Richard Wright's best-known novel, he co-wrote the script for this film adaptation, and starred in the lead role after the original star dropped out due to visa problems. Although the novel was set in Chicago, the film was shot in Buenos Aires. This rarely seen poster incorporates a different design and images than the more commonly seen Native Son posters; we have not traced any other examples.
