Additional Details

Poster for an early "race film," which is also regarded as the first feature film shot in Kansas City. The film's star Dr. A. Porter Davis (1890-1976) was an interesting character. In addition to acting as a hobby, he was a medical school graduate and head of the Davis Maternity Sanitarium for Unwed Mothers in Kansas City; he was also a jazz musician, and later became a noted airplane pilot as well.
