Beck was a minister in the Church of God in Christ in Buffalo, NY, and was also a touring pianist and trumpeter whose recording career began in 1930. One of these photographs shows him at "Eld. Beck's 5th Radio Anniv." with a group of women; a sign memorializes the late president Franklin D. Roosevelt. Two have facsimiles of his signature. The print shows him standing at a radio microphone.
