Additional Details

"The Wigwam Grand March, Dedicated to the Republican Presidential Candidate, Hon. Abrm. Lincoln." 5 pages including the illustrated cover on 3 detached sheets; 6-inch repaired closed tear on front cover and a shorter repaired tear on the final leaf. The cover features a handsome lithograph portrait of the candidate by J.H. Bufford of Boston. A tiny vignette at the portrait's lower left appears to depict the candidate splitting rails. The plate (and presumably the music) would soon be repurposed as "Inauguration Grand March," with the addition of a beard (not offered here). See Horrocks, Holzer et al., The Living Lincoln, pages 40-41. 13 x 10 inches; substantial edge wear. Boston: Oliver Ditson, 1860.
Helmsmuller. "President Lincoln's Grand March, Respectfully Dedicated to the Union Army." 6 pages including the hand-colored lithograph cover; short closed tears and repairs to cover, as well as early owners' inscriptions and inked stamp. 13 x 10 inches; substantial edge wear. New York: Horace Waters, 1862.
2 hand-colored illustrated songsheets, both 8 x 5 inches: James D. Gay. "Abe Lincoln's Union Wagon," Philadelphia, 1864 "All's for the Best," New York: Magnus, circa 1861 and the lithographed cover only for Paine, "In Memory of President Lincoln: A Funeral March." New York, 1865.
