Paris spring/summer 1998 "Tied to the Mast" collection, one of Westwood's personal favorites, a swashbuckling pirate-and-sailor fantasia inspired by the 19th-century British couturier Redfern and Thinking of Elizabeth I. This collection is known for paintings of Theodore Gericault, reimagined pirate boots, women's walking suits, crystal rope print, salt-stained, sun-bleached, eye patches, hats made from maps and Brigand hats.
Autumn-Winter 1997/98 "Five Centuries Ago." This collection is known for its Tudor and Jacobean inspiration, being highly constructed, skirt slits with exposed suspenders, and standing collars. Her inspiration was Holbein portraits.
Spring-Summer 2000 "Summertime." The final collection of the 20th century. The collection featured symbolism of Bacchus, the Roman god of agriculture, wine, and fertility. Inspired by Bacchanalia, pixelated print of fellatio, muted colours and florals, bestial shoes, tailored drapery, the ‘Booze' jacket, grass stains, and red wine spillage. Wool mélange.
