While any of the Gazettes printed by Franklin are noteworthy, this one features a front-page article on the Battle of Louisbourg, the great English victory of King George's War. A notice from Commodore Warren on page 3 assures Philadelphia merchants that they can henceforth trade at Louisbourg "free of duty or impositions of any kind" and that seamen need not fear impressment there.
