Additional Details

From the library of Jean Marie, who was Chef de la Marine (Head Engineer) for the French Line at the time of the "Normandie" maiden voyage and was a passenger on that voyage. He later assumed the presidency of the company.
It has been suggested that copies of the album were presented to company officials by a company involved in putting the finishing touches on the ship.
