Additional Details

This quadruple-screw ship was one of the more popular ships in the French Line fleet. At the conclusion of World War II she was completely reconditioned for passenger service and one of her three funnels was removed. She resumed service in 1949 and was sold to scrappers in 1958 and broken up in Japan the following year.
