[England, circa 1885]

Additional Details

Accompanying the initial sketch by Corbould is an invitation for visitors to submit their additions to her book: "Miss de Kreeft would feel highly delighted, if any friend who can handle a brush would (when he comes down this way) contribute in ever so trifling and easy a fashion, something calculated to please herself and others..." In addition to the finished entries by the noted British artist, several amateur acquaintances capably gave Ms. de Kreeft the pleasure of their submissions.
