first edition. one of 200 copies of this work created to accompany the Futurismo e Futurismi exhibition at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, 1986. The colophon states that 100 copies were made specifically to be sold at the exhibition. Marinetti's preface originally appeared in Farfa's first appearance of these Futurist poems in 1933. His Manifesto of 1909 established the tenets of literary Futurism and Farfa was lauded as "poeta record nazionale futurista." Originally aligned with Marinetti and the Futurists in the 1930s, Munari began to shift toward Constructivism and into industrial design; his abstract human forms here do seem industrial, in keeping with his artistic trajectory.
