This unusual and rare manga game board map was published for young women in Japan in 1934. It is played with dice and as a player makes the trip around the world she encounters a variety of international sites, cultures and contemporary cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Betty Boop, Groucho Marx, Mahatma Gandhi and Adolf Hitler. The cartography is practically fantasy, but overall it is a rich and compelling composition.
