the very scarce first edition of the first of two volumes, published three years apart. The title tells the entire story. Garvey's second wife Amy Jacques has gathered up all of her husband's speeches, aphorisms, and poetry and put them into this slender volume. The second volume came out in 1926, a much larger book, incorporating all that was in the first, and adding enough to bring his life down to the time of his indictment for mail fraud.
