Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan for Seventeen magazine, with the publication's stamps on verso. Tempera on paper. 432x343 mm; 17x13 1/2 inches, on 22 1/4x18 1/2-inch sheet. Signed "Corcos" in lower right image. Adhesive residue and registration marks in margins, near-puncture through small portion of signature. Nd, circa 1940s.

Known as a "modern primitivist" of American art who studied under Jan Matulka, Corcos illustrated many children's books and her works graced the covers of many American magazines and journals including Vanity Fair, American Weekly, Fortune, and This Week Magazine.
