Boynton. 12-inch American table globe comprised of 12 hand-colored engraved gores, two polar calottes and a calibrated brass meridian ring on its original four-legged turned maple stand with engraved hand-colored zodiacal horizon band. 18 inches height overall; lovely original hand-color and patina; few unobtrusive age cracks, horizon band and base with small repairs, overall excellent condition. Very nice nineteenth-century American table globe. Several important political updates are included in the northwest of America showing the addition of several states to the Union: North and South Dakota (each admitted 1889), Montana (1889), Washington (1889), and Idaho (1890).
