Additional Details

A bit of a mystery. It seems that the Wilson name may have been borrowed. Wilson stopped producing globes in 1845 and those using his name which appeared after that date usually bear the name of Cyrus Lancaster. The cartouche on the globe clearly states that the globe contains "new discoveries and political alterations down to the present period of 1859."
