The initial pages provide an overview of all of Dr. Goddard's achievements and the final pages contain the address of Postmaster General John Gronouski on the unveiling of the Goddard Air Mail stamp in 1964 at Worcester, MA. This is number 1747 of a limited edition of 1926 released during the 40th anniversary of the first launch of a liquid fuel rocket in March 1926 by Robert Goddard. The half title page has been inscribed and signed by Mrs. Goddard with: "Another copy of this book was carried to the moon and back by Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin on the Apollo 11 flight, in 1969. Esther C. Goddard."
