Additional Details

stunning binding by florence walter for the magees. The book is dedicated to Walter who, beneath it, has inscribed the volume to the Magees; she inserted the template for the front cover design, a copy of Revolt of a Tired Typesetter, a gift book printed for members of the Roxburgh and Zamorano clubs plus a sheet of Elmer Adler's introduction page later incorporated into the work; a spoof "ode" on the typesetting of the book by Jane Grabhorn; a proof copy of the rare Announcement prospectus with Magee's manuscript comments that there were only about 25 printed and that, because the book was so successful, it was unnecessary to mail any to prospective customers. Overall, a fine binding and wonderful association copy of one of the great modern presses.
