Additional Details

A stunning documentary map from the Spanish colonial school of cartography, showing the massive eruption of the Almolonga volcano, with detail of lava flows, ash clouds, falling debris, surrounding towns, etc. Several of the main features are labelled 1-4, presumably to be elaborated upon in a now-missing key. Verso title: "Volcan Explosion / no hay mas que cuatro."
