an exceptional portrait bust of the haitian revolutionary hero, originally in the collection of Kurt Fisher. Fisher emigrated to Haiti shortly after WWII. There he remained for over thirty years, amassing the largest collection of Haitian historical documents, letters, medals, and paintings in the world. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City has a large portion of the collection.
