Additional Details

"Vaterland" material is difficult to come by because she was only in the service of the line for a very short time. She was a quadruple-screw ship launched in 1914. She was seized by the United States while in New York harbor. She re-entered service in 1923 as the "Leviathan," sailing for the United States Lines. She left service in 1934 and was scrapped in 1938. Her running mates were "Bismarck" and "Imperator."
