Additional Details

The triple-screw "Reliance" was begun in 1914, but the war postponed her completion. When finished in 1920, she was ceded to the Dutch and renamed "Limburgia." Soon after she became part of the fleet of the United American Lines and was renamed "Reliance." She joined the Hamburg-American fleet in 1926. The ship was destroyed by fire while at Hamburg in 1938. Her sister ship was "Resolute."
