Building on the "Resolute" began before the First World War, but she wasn't completed until after the end of the conflict. Her initial service was as the "Brabantia" for Royal Holland Lloyd. United American Lines purchased the ship in 1922. She was transferred to joint service in 1926 with Hamburg-American. She was bombed in 1943 during the war and broken up in 1947. Her sister ship was "Reliance."
