A rich collection of roughly 280 homoerotic male physique photos including boxers, athletes, and nude studies. Comprising studies of athletes, bodybuilders, and boxers in a wide range of postures, but also a fine selection of artist studies of male nudes. The group includes mostly silver prints, and many copy prints, the images measuring 64x89 mm; 2½x3½ inches; 184x127 mm; 7¼x5 inches (most), and 203x254 mm; 8x10 inches, many with various copyright stamps, some with the model or athlete's name in ink, and some with dates and additional notations in pencil, on verso. The collection also includes promotional postcards of famous boxers of the turn of the 20th century and beyond, such as James J Jeffries, Arthur L Hyson, Jack Sharkey, Phil Scott, Joe Lynch, Jack Dempsey, and more. Postcards measure 89x349 mm; 3½x5½ inches. Circa 1920s and 1930s.
