Group of 25 photographs of historic Hong Kong. The group comprises 3 multi-panel panoramas, including a detailed 3-part albumen panorama of the harbor, which is on a contemporary mount; a 2-part bird's-eye albumen panorama, with penciled notations on the original mount; and a 4-part, hand-tinted silver print panorama of buildings lining the harbor, which is unmounted and loose. With single prints depicting bustling street scenes of Queens Road and City Hall, "Glenealy" after the typhoon of 1874, a military exercise, a picturesque view of junk ships and seamen in Hong Kong harbor, and a scene of Singapore. Albumen (21) and hand-tinted silver (4) prints, various sizes from 5 1/4x10 1/2 to 8 1/2x11 1/2 inches (13.3x26.7 to 21.6x29.2 cm.); the overall size of the two mounted panoramas 8 1/4x21 1/2 and 8x34 inches (21x54.6 and 20.3x86.4 cm.). 1869-1890s
