Additional Details

The Dutch Treat Club, still in existence, was founded in 1905 by Thomas Masson and Robert Sterling Yard. Essentially a men's club to celebrate literature, music, art, and drama, the members met for lunch each week with every member paying his way, thus "Dutch Treat" was coined. Famous members over the years included John O'Hara Cosgrave (Chairman), James Montgomery Flagg, Robert Benchley, Rube Goldberg, Robert M. McBride, Isaac Asimov, and Otto Soglow. The annual began in 1920 and is known for its risqué drawings of women. This group includes the years 1923 (with a pencil sketch. Stanley's?), 1925, 1926, 1929, 1930, 1932, 1933 (spine missing), 1934, 1937, 1938 (spine missing, worn, but signed by several members), 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946, 1947, 1958, and 1962.
