Additional Details

A select group of albums chock-a-block with images, autographs, and ephemera chronicling early 20th-century British pomp and circumstance in India. Quotidian family scenes--albeit those of high society--are depicted alongside missionary, government, and military views, each artfully arranged on the page and captioned. The pictures were taken by various photographers, including Lady Flora Poore, Capt. Consac, Miss Fraser, Miss Berrister, Dan Johnson, Mr. W. Beardsell, and Major Collingridge--all accomplished amateur practitioners.
