Additional Details

This scarce broadside lists the officers killed and wounded in attack on St. Clair's army at the headwaters of the Wabash River in Ohio. According to the broadside, 39 officers and 900 soldiers were killed, making this the worst defeat against the Indians. The wood-cut illustrations include a portrait of Major General Richard Butler and a crude view of the battle. The last copy to come to auction was the Streeter copy, which sold in October 1967 for $1300.<
