Written and directed by Arnold Perl with the assistance of Alex Haley, who wrote the Autobiography of Malcolm X. James Earl Jones, Ossie David, and a host of cameos by people who were actually in Malcolm's life could not save this film from almost instant obscurity. Mostly a string of episodes bolstered by documentary footage.
