This lovely image shows the ship in Naples harbor, with Vesuvius smoking in the background. "Sicilia" began her maritime career as the North German Lloyd's "Coblenz" (II) in 1923. She was purchased by the Società Italia Flotte Riunti in 1935 and transferred to Lloyd Triestino in 1937. She became a hospital ship in 1941 and was bombed and sank at Naples in 1943.
