Rare and accurate map of northeastern Italy along the Adriatic Sea. Large cities of Venice, Padua, Ferrara, Vicenza, and Trevisio are shown in context of the highly detailed surrounding areas. An engraved vignette in the lower right illustrates the Murazzi di Pelestrina, or one of the large stone walls built to protect the Venetian lagoon. A beautiful example of turn of the nineteenth-century Italian cartography.
