(JACK PICKENS COBLE--ARCHITECT'S ALBUM)
A personal album of approximately 350 photographs, owned and compiled by architect Jack Pickens Coble.

Coble designed numerous homes for the stars, including Cole Porter, Cy Feuer, and Bennett Cerf, as well as the Canada Dry Bottling Plant and the contemporary House of Good Taste for the 1964 World's Fair. The album touches on a number of projects in photographs apparently taken by Coble, and also features numerous images of leisure time, portraying Coble and crew enjoying hot summer days at the beach and World War II photographs. Silver prints, images measuring 1 1/2x1 1/2 to 9 1/2x7 1/2 inches (3.8x3.8 to 24.1x19.1 cm.), with approximately 25 ephemeral items, including news clippings, invites, letters, enlisted passes and cables, also mounted throughout. Folio, woven cover with comb binding, cover and binding worn; pages loose. 1940s
