Brief pictorial history of the Tengyo rebellion, 938-940. Masayoshi signs himself in this work as Kosuisai Monjin (pupil of Kitao Shigemasa). Masayoshi (who took up the alias KUWUGATA Keisai around 1790) was a noted painter of natural history subjects. In his day he was more popular than Utamaro.
