Album containing 50 delicately hand-tinted photographs of Japan and one albumen print of a collage of work produced by A. Farsari & Co., with views of Mt. Fuji, flowering landscapes, temples and waterways. Albumen prints, each measuring 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (19.1x24.1 cm.), and the reverse, mounted with watercolor drawings of birds, figures and foliage surrounding the image; with modern tissue guards; with a caption, in English and an inventory number in the negative. Oblong folio, black and red lacquer embellished with a golden bird and landscapes; all edges gilt. 1880s
