Including images from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagasaki, Kyoto, and others, as well as occupational scenes, richly decorated temples, elegant portraits of geishas, peaceful landscapes with flowing waterfalls, birds-eye views of cities, sumptuous gardens, and Mount Fuji. Hand-colored albumen prints, the images measuring approximately 7 3/4x10 inches (19.7x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso, half with an inventory number and caption, in English, in the negative, and the mounts each with elaborate hand-applied and colored motifs, including male and female figures against painterly landscapes, beautiful floral imagery, and birds in flight.
