Additional Details

This printed card features Szyk's color illustration of an Israeli soldier, and a facing image of hands clasping a shofar and a rifle. Szyk's "Prayer for Rosh Hashana" is printed in English and Hebrew within: "Never before has mankind been given a greater manifestation of the existence of God and of His omnipotence that with the miracle called 'the Return to Israel.' . . . This is the undaunted will of the remnant of a glorious and great people to survive."

Not in OCLC. We can find only one other reference to another example of this card, found in an album of Szyk's work which was sold at Parke-Bernet on 14 February 1956.
