This series was edited by Isaac Leeser in 14 issues from 1845 to 1851. The first work in this issue had first appeared anonymously in a Jewish magazine in London; the author was a Christian novelist with strong Jewish sympathies. The second story, "Rachel Levi," had first appeared in the "Cheap Jewish Library" in England. The volume concludes with a work by editor Leeser, which had originally appeared as a chapter in "A History of Various Religions in the United States." No other examples of this Issue VI traced at auction. Singerman 1006.
