Mayer of Congregation Beth Elohim to important Reform rabbi David Einhorn of Baltimore, "a token of profound collegial esteem and friendship," 8 June 1856; Einhorn's name stamped on front board; bookplate of Einhorn's grandson Max J. Kohler.
