This attractive piece of folk art lists Solomon's memorial dates through 1982, with a colorful border featuring the Flag of Zion and of the United States. Gelb's circular letter boasts of his "useful Memorial Calendar for 50 years, written by hand in an artistic script . . . to remind you of the Memorial day of your departed beloved ones" with "the day, month and year of the departed ones in both Jewish and English." The present size and design would have cost the Solomons $7.00.
