Additional Details

A magazine for the Jewish troops of the XIX Corps, fighting on the Western Front in the closing months of World War Two. Includes a Passover message from Chaplain Samuel Blinder, a list of several dozen "men who attend our services," and various news items on the unit's soldiers. One blurb is titled "If Goebbels Only Knew": "Chaplain Manuel Poliakoff . . . held a Jewish service in the dining hall of Goebbels' own Schloss Rheydt. According to the yank paper, it was a Purim service, thus celebrating a double victory, an old and a new one. The old victory over Haman, and the new one over Hitler. Good work, Manny."
