one of 500 copies. inscribed by morris in the year of publication to english critic and poet theodore watts-dunton: "Theodore W. Watts / William Morris / May 14th 1893" on front blank. Watts-Dunton was a close friend of both Morris and Dante Gabriel Rossetti and was a devoted collector and critic of Kelmscott Press editions whom Morris respected greatly. He is best remembered as the close friend of Charles Algernon Swinburne, taking him into his home when Swinburne's alcoholism became problematic.
