The 1954 passport of family patriarch Joseph Patrick Kennedy Sr. documents his travels in the years before he helped son John to the presidency, including visits to England, Italy, and France. His wife Rose's 1953 passport includes additional trips to Asia. Son Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy's passport was issued in 1952, when he was stationed in Europe on military service.
