A detailed summary of all network news coverage on WABC for the day of the Kennedy assassination and the three days following. Titled "ABC Radio News Desk Network Day Log," it gives a minute-by-minute summary of all bulletins. At 1:36:50 p.m., the first announcement was read: "Shots have been fired at President Kennedy's motorcade." 77 seconds later came a "flash bulletin alert," followed by a "series of 5000 cycle tone beeps in staccato," and then two minutes later the AP bulletin that "President Kennedy was shot." The remaining pages offer constant updates through the funeral. The consignor's aunt managed the central typing unit for WABC at this time; this log appears to be otherwise unknown and unpublished.
