Additional Details

We have not traced any news accounts of this event or located any guest lists. Certainly many notables would have been in attendance from among Dr. King's friends and family. Up on the dais are several family members. We don't see Dr. King, but the man third from the left appears to be his brother Alfred Daniel Williams King. The guest of honor is 12th from the left, and her husband Martin Luther King Sr. is next in line. 15th and 16th appear to be Dr. King's sister Christine King Farris and her husband Isaac Newton Farris. We suspect that's retired ballplayer Jackie Robinson seated at the far left of the left front table.
