Album containing 38 photographs, with 25 relating to the native peoples, rich culture, and international diplomatic community in Seoul, Korea, including a young man in court dress, palace dancing girls, a pre-historic tablet, architectural views of the British, Japanese and Russian legations, the Queen's funeral procession on East Street, the Palace gate, and suburbs of Seoul, as well as 13 miscellaneous photographs of India and Egypt, including foreign emissaries and native peoples. Albumen and printing-out paper prints, sizes ranging from 3x4 to 10 1/2x8 inches (7.6x10.2 to 26.7x20.3 cm.), and smaller, each of the prints is captioned, in ink, in a period hand; also with the handwritten notations "A. St. Jordan, Seoul, February 1899" on the front pastedown. Oblong black cloth, light wear. 1899
