This meticulously arranged album chronicles the grand re-opening of a modernized gas station in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in a charming, artistically-pleasing series of scrapbooked pages. The images depict the new station and opening events, such as an antique car show and band. Also including numerous ephemeral items, such as advertisements, advertising letters, exhibitors list, typewritten letters, and more. Silver prints, most of the images measuring 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and some smaller, and the reverse. Oblong 4to, cloth, the front cover with a charming hand-painted image of two cars and a hand-lettered title. 1954
