Additional Details

Resolves of the Massachusetts legislature from October 1780 through May 1781, printed as three separate imprints but numbered continuously. Many of the resolves relate to the Revolution. One of the last entries is a resolve that "the Agent for the Commonwealth present his Excellency General Washington with a cheese, covered with lead, and one cask of porter, taken in the prize Little-Porgy, lately captured by the ship Mars" (page 205). On page 140 is a resolve relinquishing any claims to Vermont providing that it be admitted as a new state. Evans 16850, 17230, 17231.
