Additional Details

From the collection of Waldo Lincoln; to Ralph Newman; to the present owner.
Waldo Lincoln (1849-1933) is best remembered as the great Lincoln family scholar and genealogist. His "The History of The Lincoln Family, An Account of The Descendants of Samuel Lincoln of Hingham, Massachusetts, 16371928," published in 1923, remains the definitive work to this day.

The album's treasure is a carte-de-visite of Robert Todd Lincoln. The First Son was a Harvard undergraduate in 1862, and is seen with a high hat similar to the one worn by his father. The album includes distant family members, including cousins via the Hingham family line. A list details the recognizable names.
