Songster produced for Lincoln's first campaign, with the words to 41 songs including Stedman's "Honest Old Abe" (sung to the tune of "The Star-Spangled Banner"), "Lincoln and Victory" (to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne"); and "The Flag of Our Union" (illustrated with a flag engraving). Several more humorous numbers satirize Stephen Douglas and the Democratic Party. Also includes a printing of the 1860 Republican platform. Monaghan 35.
