A description of the commemoration planned in honor of Lincoln: mourning slips to drape the homes of the residents, and eulogies to be delivered on the 19th, with tolling bells and a suspension of business. The members of the event's committee all seem to have been residents of Mifflintown, PA in central Pennsylvania, as well as its president, Colonel John James Patterson.
